Composer Notes….

I don’t know any artist who would not be honored if a director such as Srdjan Dragojevic asked him to compose the music for his movie. I was of course thrilled but at the same time a bit afraid of such a challenging opportunity. The drama by Dusan Kovacevic “Saint George Shoots the Dragon” is considered to be one of the best ever written in Serbia. It is a very powerful story where each line has a significant influence on the plot and drives you through the net of relationships between the characters. After two and a half months I was completely exhausted, not by hard work, but because of the emotional involvement. Every movie that I worked on was an emotional journey for me. I went deep into every detail of every scene, and then I tried to express that with my music. Try to imagine that you are dragged into a story like this, the story of unfortunate people which from the very beginning indicates a tragic ending. That is very overwhelming. I think that I managed to grasp the very essence of the story and succeeding bringing that essence to the screen with my music exactly as Srdjan wanted.
